Field-based instruction in cooking over fire using minimal equipment. Learn heat control, meal preparation, and efficient camp cooking systems for real-world outdoor environments.



Chasing Whitetails in the Cold

Track interpretation, terrain and wind reading, ethical shot placement, and cold weather hunting discipline.

Part of the Life After Hunter Safety Series, this course develops the field awareness, movement discipline, and decision-making required to operate effectively during late-season whitetail hunts.

Chasing Wild Turkeys

A field-based introduction to spring turkey hunting. Students learn habitat analysis, turkey behavior, calling techniques, and the movement discipline required to locate and work birds effectively in the woods.

Trapping for Survival

Learn primitive trapping methods used to secure food in a true survival situation. This course focuses on simple, effective trap designs, animal sign interpretation, and ethical field practices for wilderness self-reliance.
